Activities with the AKS

Preparatory course for brown and black belt exams

This is the perfect class for any brown and black belt to improve your personal training and Shotokan karate technique. The course is taught by AKS Chief Instructor Sensei Katsumata. The start of the year training not to be missed! Save the date, February 7, 2026 at St-Hyacinthe.

Winter karate camp

This training allows karatekas of all levels to participate in training offered by our head instructor, Sensei Katsumata as well as a special guest from Japan. This year, Quebec welcomes Sensei Watanabe to offer us training rich in kumite technique (fights) among others. This karate camp is the perfect opportunity to pass the brown and black belt exam. An opportunity not to be missed! We hope to see you there on February 20, 21 and 22, 2026 at Repentigny.

Gaston Fortin Cup Karate Competition

Competitions offer athletes the opportunity to surpass themselves by presenting a meticulously worked kata and kumite. It is a moment that allows participants (children to adults) to work on their concentration and stress and emotion management. A day of competition is not only a day of discipline and learning, but also a day to have fun and meet other equally passionate athletes!
